Tips: Lysine high dose is used for acute treatment for recurrent herpes labialis. Docosanol 10% also for acute treatment of herpes labialis, however reduce the duration of cold sores. There is no evidence of suppression. Antiviral has been used for suppression. Valacyclovir and acyclovir used for suppression for up to 4 months.
